Personal Data Protection Policy
This Personal Data Protection Policy (the “Policy”) sets out how Niks Professional Pte Ltd and its related companies (collectively referred to as “Niks”) collect, manage and disclose Personal Data (hereinafter defined) of our employees, customers/patients and business partners in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”).
1. Personal Data
1.1 “Personal Data” shall mean data about an individual who can be identified from that data or from other information to which NIKS has or are likely to have access, including data in our records as may be updated from time to time.
1.2 Some examples of such Personal Data include the individual’s name, NRIC number or FIN, passport number, bank account/employment information photograph or mobile telephone number, mailing address, email address and any other information relating to any individual provided to NIKS by an individual or their business partners.
The extent of Personal Data to be collected will be dependent on NIKS’ purposes and needs which may vary from time to time.
NIKS uses reasonable precautions to protect Personal Data under our control in order to prevent unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks. Although complete security cannot be guaranteed, we strive to protect the security of such information and commit to periodically review and enhance the information security measures where necessary.
2. Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Data
Retail and Online Customers
NIKS collects personal information when individuals register on our websites, email, call us and/or visit NIKS’ retail outlets.
With the collection of Personal Data, NIKS may use them, including aggregated or combined with other information for the purposes of providing and marketing NIKS services, where use and disclosure has to be necessary and reasonable only.
Clinic Patients
NIKS’ clinics collect personal information when patients register on our website, email, call us and/or visit NIKS’ clinics.
The purpose to use your Personal Data may be for:
- review healthcare policies and requirements,
- review programmes that ensure patient safety and improve the quality of healthcare services,
- conduct disease surveillance to address public health concerns, and
- any other purpose as required or permitted by law.
We may disclose any Personal Data to third party service providers and agents, other professional medical consultants with whom we are dealing.
3. Cookies and links to third party sites
We may use cookies to provide visitors with a personalised experience on our website. Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to the memory or hard drive of a visitor’s computer for record-keeping purposes. NIKS would only retain the respective Personal Data for as long as is necessary for us to use your personal data as described above. However, NIKS may retain some of the Personal Data after our engagement has come to an end, for instance if the data is necessary to meet our legal obligations, such as retaining the information for tax and accounting purposes.
5. Accuracy and Protection of Personal Data
The Data Protection Officer would ensure that all Personal Data shall be protected against any unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar risks. The officer shall also make a reasonable effort to ensure that all Personal Data collected by us is accurate and complete.
6. Withdrawal of Consent, Access and Correction of your Personal Data
Should one wish to withdraw his/her to consent or any of the purposes stated, you may do so by sending us a notice (“Withdrawal Notice”) to the Data Protection Officer at the postal and/or email address stated below, providing us both your name and identification number, and the reason that you would like to withdrawn from. Please note that such withdrawal may result in our inability to continue to provide medical services to you (as it is a legal requirement to collect personal data before providing such services) and/or having to withdraw you from our NIK$ reward scheme.

7. Governing Law
